Duct replacement as other said to do or clean the impossible. Viro succeeds where all others had failed.

Several companies attempted to clean this Colorado system and gave up. Others simply said it was impossible to clean and that the ductwork had to be replaced. The customer tried everyone until he found out Viro was doing work in his city. To his amazements, he was able to save tens of thousands of dollars in replacement costs and simply had his "impossible to clean" system cleaned by the Denver based Viro crew. Parts of the risers above the hoods were almost completely blocked. Here are the pics to enjoy.

IKECA Certified Inspectors now at 7!

With Tim Smith recently passing his IKECA's Inspectors test and becoming our newest CESI( and with Tim having over 25 years experience), that brings the total IKECA CESI staff for Enviromatic to 7 nationwide. The Enviromatic Corp CESI staff are Don Pfleiderer, Mike Gronlund, Tim Smith, Steve Garkinos, Andrew Watson, Joe Houston, and Brien Picha.  That is in addition to the 12 CECS staff members.We believe that is one of the most if not the most number of certified inspectors for one company in the country. Proper certifications and training for our staff is critical to Enviromatic continuing being the leader in the kitchen exhaust cleaning industry.  No one does it better, period!  We are currently undergoing testing all Crew chiefs and Senior Crew members for a minimum of CEST certifications to assure there is a certified staff member on each and every job by this summer. The new IKECA C-10 standards calls for this. NFPA96 also required certified companies performing exhaust system cleanings.  We hope all other companies soon follow our lead on the proper certifications. 

We believe that the IKECA certification with the annual CEU requirements, periodic renewals, and using a non-profit group for the independent testing is the only true certification.  Some certifications can be had by simply take a test and paying for a lifetime certification. The CEU requirements allows members to keep up with industry standards and changes. They put this plainly on the IKECA web site "IKECA certifications provide objective and measurable ways to determine general competency in the standardized practices and standards within the kitchen exhaust cleaning industry."  

IKECA Board of Directors

It has just been announced that Enviromatic Corporation president Don Pfleiderer has been elected to the IKECA Board of Directors. With 39 years of experience in the grease exhaust field, Don brings additional integrity and unmatched experience into the Board of Directors. Not only will Don work hard in  representing all IKECA members both large and small, he will work with the entire Board and Association in teaching all IKECA members and their customers what it means to clean to a higher standard.

RFMA 2013

We hope to see everyone at the RFMA show at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando on March 11th and 12th.  Don and Steve will be there a couple days early for those who wish additional meeting time. Southwest Foodservice Show Drawing camera WINNER

We had our drawing for a camera on Tuesday evening at the Southwest Foodservice Show at the Dallas Convention Center. This was for a new Olympus TG310 Waterproof Shockproof Duct Inspection camera. The winner was:

Halton authorized service and parts

We are proud to announce that Enviromatic Corporation is now part of the authorized Halton Parts and Service network. Customers will be able to purchase Halton and Ventmaster parts through our Virospec exhaust system parts division. Customers may also call for authorized service of Halton and Ventmaster systems through our 800 number. KEC customers with Halton and Ventmaster systems can have a piece of mind knowing knowledgable staff are handling their systems. The new highly efficient but complicated systems often require extra care from factory trained personnel during the cleaning processes to help prevent expensive damages and repairs. These damages can come from untrained staff not properly taking the care needed to protect these system components. We look forward to serving all Halton customers in our area.
